Technical Questions

How must printing data be compiled?

Please see under Service for this question. On that page, you will find a data sheet giving information about the correct compilation of print data. Should you still have any questions, please feel free to contact us.

How can print data be supplied?

Print data can be submitted on CD, memory stick/chip or by FTP (we will be happy to set up personal access for you). They can also be sent to us by email for quantities of data up to 20 MB.

Can open data be sent?

We request that you send us print-ready PDFs. We only accept open data after consultation (currently: Illustrator, Photoshop, Indesign Version CS3 and Freehand MX).

Can data from Office programs be processed?

We only accept data from Office programs in the form of PDF files.

What happens if a print file contains errors?

Should we detect errors when checking the print file, we will inform you at once and discuss how to proceed with you.

Is there any difference between a monitor screen picture and the printed result?

Usually yes, as most monitors are uncalibrated, resulting in falsification of colours. This problem can even arise with calibrated monitors.

In what colour space should the data be compiled?

Please compile your data in CMYK (4c).

What is the difference between RGB and CMYK?

Files compiled in the RGB colour space must be converted into CMYK before printing, when colour deviations may arise. In such cases, we can print a proof in order to establish the correct colours.

Can you print special colours?

No, but we aim at optimum reproduction of colours as far as the 4c process can achieve them (this is not possible for metallic or fluorescent colours).

Services and Customer Support

Do you propose configuration or layouts?

Yes, please contact us for further information.

Can colours be introduced into existing prints?

Of course – to do this, we need the original, and will try to match the colours to it.

Are print data archived?

In general, we archive your print data, but do not accept responsibility for them.

Is it possible to place special orders?

Certainly – please contact us about this.
