Screen Printing
Printing Technology and Manual Technique
In this process, a screen is first prepared in accordance with the desired graphic and will act as a stencil. The colour is then printed through a fine-mesh screen and transferred onto the material. In this way, different degrees of colour application can be obtained, depending on the fineness of the screen mesh employed.
Screen printing is suitable for printing the same motif on fabrics in larger print-runs. Printing is in one to four colours. For small print runs, screen printing is uneconomic. Digital printing is then a more suitable technique.
